QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School graduation or equivalent.
- Two years truck driving experience on a commercial delivery truck with manual transmission.
- One year of general warehouse experience.
- Possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License with a class “A” CDL endorsement preferred.
- Ability to obtain forklift driver/electric pallet jack certification, and to pass district administered truck driver training course.
- Must have and maintain excellent driving record. Must sign waiver for district to obtain personal driving abstract prior to assignment and on an annual basis.
- Must be organized and highly dependable.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and team leader as needed.
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to meet tight time constraints and deadlines including but not limited to varying working hours when necessary.
- Regular attendance to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position to achieve program requirements, goals, and outcomes.
- Ability to climb ladder(s).
- Ability to lift supplies and equipment weighing 1/3 of your body weight up to 50 pounds. Ability to lift, move and/or carry safely items weighing up to 300 pounds, using mechanical assistance when necessary.
- Ability to communicate with a variety of people, in person, in writing, electronically and over the phone.
- Ability to drive to various district locations.
- Ability to obtain job related certifications as directed.
- Ability to climb in and out of trucks many times during the day.
- Ability to drive safely to various district locations.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and oral instructions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Drive a manual transmission truck to pick up and deliver inter-office mail, and various types of equipment. Deliveries made according to a regular schedule.
- Pick up cafeteria receipts (money) and deposit at bank.
- Respond to truck orders as required.
- Perform daily maintenance on vehicle; complete work order if more extensive maintenance needed.
- May assist in warehouse as needed; including taking inventory.
- Treat co-workers, supervisors, students, and patrons with dignity and respect at all times.
- Serve as a positive role model for students, and practices the behaviors that are expected of our students.
- Work in a flexible and cooperative manner.
- Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Benefits/Compensation:
Salary range: New employees will start at the minimum hourly rate in the salary range. However, employees who have verified prior years of service in a similar occupational status from other Washington School Districts or Education School Districts, may receive experience credit towards salary placement.
